Junior Advising Check-in
Students that have completed between 60 to 75 credit hours need to complete this workshop. It explains degree requirements and how to choose classes for the major. Students will also learn about:
- Concurrent degrees and minors
- Transfer credits
- Career options
- Suggestions for graduate school
- Ways that students can get more involved in Psychology and get the most out of their time at ASU!
This 30-minute presentation is viewed through Blackboard and can be paused if needed. Students need to complete the short quiz with the required score of 100% and then send an email to psych.advisor@asu.edu requesting that your hold be removed. The Advising Office can then removed your Junior Check-in hold. NOTE: you may continue to use this Junior Psychology Blackboard site as a resource even after you have had the hold removed.
Here's how to get started:
- Login to your MyASU account and click on the link for Blackboard (in the MyClasses area of your MyASU homepage)
- Click on the Courses tab at the top of the Blackboard site
- Type "Junior" into the Course Search
- Select the downward arrow next to DEV-2011Spring-tsheldo1 and select "Enroll"
As always, please contact the Psychology Advising Office if you have any questions.
Career & Graduate School
Choosing a career is a big decision and the Psychology Advising Office strongly encourages students to start making detailed career goals as early as possible in their college career. ASU’s Career Services is a great place to get started in the planning process now while you are in school and later when you are looking for employment.
