Dynamics of Perception, Action, & Cognition Lab

The Dynamics of Perception, Action, & Cognition (DPAC) lab is a multidisciplinary research team whose focus is the application of dynamics, complexity, and self-organization to the fields of perception, action, and cognition.  We are housed in the Cognition, Action, & Perception program in the Department of Psychology but regularly involve interested participants from across Arizona State University's campuses and departments.  Our research aims to understand the coordination among multiple systems and processes such as:  vision, touch, limb movements, breathing, heart rate, handedness, learning, and attention.  Specific examples are described on our Research and Publications pages.  This research program is supported by a series of graduate courses and a seminar that meets regularly on Friday afternoons.  We hope that you take the time to explore our website and then visit us when you are in the area.
