Brain Awareness Week is a series of events to increase public awareness about the brain, associated with the Society for Neuroscience. We have attended multiple classrooms and community groups to discuss brain function, and let people have some hands-on learning experiences. We turn students into a "neuron" and they get activated with Hershey's kisses "neurotransmitters," we hand out fun fact sheets and discuss what it is like to be a scientist. It is great fun for everyone! Brain Awareness Week is usually in March, but our team does visits throughout the year. We are thrilled to have received many Community Service Awards for this work!

In 2010 and 2011, we had an ASU Brain Fair for Children!

About 700 children, each year, attended from schools throughout the Valley. Grades were K-5th. You may go to these websites for more information:
