Prospective Students

The faculty in the Department of Psychology offer graduate programs with a major in psychology leading to the Doctor of Philosophy degree. Although there is no formal Master of Arts program as such, doctoral students are required to complete a Master in Passing degree as part of their doctoral training. Concentrations are available in clinical; cognition, action & perception; developmental; quantitative; behavioral neuroscience; social psychology and LAW/PSY in areas of clinical; developmental; and social.

Although students in the Clinical Program receive the training necessary to provide high quality clinical services, this program is not designed to train individuals who are primarily interested in becoming full-time clinicians. Rather, the goal of clinical training is to provide our students with the experiences necessary to conduct high quality clinical science that will contribute to the empirical basis for the practice of Clinical Psychology.  If you are primarily interested in becoming clinician please review the Graduate Programs in Arizona doccument for further options.

All applicants are required to submit aptitude scores on the Graduate Record Examination, transcripts, three letters of reference and a statement of purpose, International students should include their TOEFL score (an unofficial copy is acceptable).
