How do visible stigmas, such as race, differ from concealable stigmas, such as sexual orientation?

Is emotional display a cue that is used to detect sexual orientation?

How are impressions formed of individuals whose race or gender is ambiguous?

What kinds of emotional reactions to gay individuals can lead to violent hate crimes?
