We focus on studying learning and cognition. For instance, we study effective ways of learning from self-explaining, collaborating, tutoring, and observing learning dialogues, as well as how misconceptions arise and how they can be addressed.

We focus on studying student learning and cognition. For instance, we study effective ways of learning from self-explaining, collaborating, tutoring, and observing learning dialogues, as well as how misconceptions arise and how they can be addressed.Positions are available for students who are able to help with duties related to: assisting with conducting experimental sessions, coding and/or analysis of data, finding related work publications, providing feedback and insight during lab meetings, development of power-point presentations promoting our work, manuscript feedback and copy-editing (knowledge of Word and Powerpoint is therefore a must). We are looking for students who are excited about  topics related to learning and cognition, who are conscientious with a keen eye for detail and who are able to work with minimal supervision. Students will be expected to spend 6-9 hours in the lab per week.
