Paying for college

Understanding the cost of college can help you plan with confidence. Use this page to estimate your tuition, explore financial aid and discover scholarship opportunities through ASU and the Department of Psychology.

Estimate your tuition

Every student's college costs are a little different. Your tuition depends on factors such as your residency status, degree program, campus, modality (in person or online) and the number of credits you take each semester.

The ASU tuition calculator is a quick way to estimate your tuition and fees before you apply. Answer a few questions to see what you can expect to pay.

Explore financial aid

Many students use financial aid to help pay for college. Depending on your eligibility, you may qualify for grants, scholarships, loans, work-study or a combination of these resources.

ASU's Financial Aid and Scholarship Services can help you understand your options, complete the FAFSA and answer questions about paying for college.

Scholarships opportunities

Unlike loans, scholarships don't have to be paid back. They can help reduce the cost of college, and many students receive funding from more than one source. As a future psychology or neuroscience student, you'll have access to scholarship opportunities offered across ASU and, after you enroll, through the Department of Psychology.

ASU scholarships

Many scholarships are available through Arizona State University, The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and organizations outside the university.

After you're admitted to ASU, you can also use Scholarship Universe to search for scholarships that match your interests, experiences and eligibility.

Find scholarships

Department scholarships

Once you're a psychology or neuroscience major, you'll be eligible to apply for scholarships and awards offered by the Department of Psychology.

Scholarships recognize academic achievement, leadership, research involvement and other accomplishments. Recipients are celebrated each spring during the Department of Psychology's annual awards ceremony.
