Undergraduate Student Enhancement Fund

The Department of Psychology prepares undergraduate students to be the leaders of tomorrow—to apply the theoretical and methodological tools of psychology to address challenges across the social, civic, and employment landscape. We teach our students fundamental scientific methods, help them develop their critical thinking and communication skills, and provide them opportunities to translate research knowledge into practical impact. We prepare our students not just for careers in Psychology but also in any field that relies on understanding behavior—including business, health care, education, law, and media.

Fund Purpose

Funds are used to (1) provide scholarships and awards to students who have demonstrated excellence in their pursuit of psychological knowledge; (2) provide opportunities for experiences that extend student knowledge, including travel to professional conferences, paid opportunities in labs, and funding for research or community outreach activities; (3) create and support new approaches to enhance student learning, and (4) launch programs that, for example, facilitate mentoring relationships with alumni, connections to internship opportunities, and career skills training.
