Everybody Matters Intern
The Mission of Everybody Matters is to help people thrive emotionally when life gets hard. To that end, Everybody Matters provides school-based mental health services to K-12 students focused on helping students learn healthy coping skills, social skills, skills to manage difficult emotions, and new strategies for managing stress. Our interns provide these services at a variety of schools throughout Arizona.
It sounds too good to be true, but 100% of our interns would recommend our internship to another student! On average, interns carry a caseload of 12–20 students with whom they will meet weekly. This provides the opportunity to practice a variety of intervention strategies and modalities. To ensure that each client receives the optimal support, we individualize each intervention using a “cafeteria model” for choosing treatments and strategies. Last year, each intern completed over 200 meetings with their clients.
