Student Involvement
We encourage all students to become involved in student organizations and volunteer opportunities during their time at ASU. Participation in such groups and programs can help students make connections with other students and develop organization and leadership skills.
Psychology-Related Groups
Two Year Plan
Transfer students are unique as their time to graduate is shortened as they have completed degree requirements prior to attending ASU. Transfer students may still take advantage of important experiential learning opportunities such as research and internships and meet the timeline for applying for graduate school and professional positions if they plan their path carefully.
The transfer credit process may take several weeks to complete once the student has completed their admission application.
It is the student’s responsibility to verify that all college transcripts are sent to ASU admissions. Students should contact the registrar at the institutions they attended and request that their official, final transcripts showing all final grades are sent to ASU Admissions.
Only grades of C or higher are accepted in transfer.
Psychological Science Concentration (BS)
All of the degree requirements for the Psychological Science Concentration (BS) and Psychology (BS) degree are the same except for the following:

Students must meet additional admission requirements to declare the Psychological Science Concentration. The BS in psychology with a concentration in psychological science is open to students who have:
Psychology Major Description
The psychology major consists of 37 credits of psychology. Grades of C or better needed in all major requirements.
Psychology BA /BS Differences
Both the psychology BA and BS degrees are excellent options for students who want to pursue psychology-related careers or who intend to apply to psychology or counseling graduate programs.
All of the major requirements are the same for the psychology BA and BS degrees. The degrees differ in the College Requirement:
